NON-PROFIT of the MONTH Sept. - Salvation Army Each month The Salvation Army distributes more than 30,000 pounds of food right here in Kernersville to over 700 families who are experiencing hunger, as part of the Food Pantry. At Christmas, The Salvation Army, provides toys, food and clothing to our neighbors in need.

The mission of the Kernersville Foundation is to provide financial assistance to non-profit organizations that serve the Kernersville community.

Kernersville Foundation Awards $175,000 in Grants for 2024

The Kernersville Foundation fulfilled another cycle of grant funding to Kernersville nonprofits in 2024. In total, $175,000 was distributed to 14 local organizations. Grants were made possible through the generosity of individual donors as well as the State of North Carolina. Recipients included the following nonprofit organizations, in alphabetical order:

Körner's Folly	Kernersville Little Theater	Ciener Botanical Garden	Kernersville Family YMCA
Kernersville Downtown Committee	Friends of the Paddison Memorial Library
